As with much of my work, the story is personally driven from my family history, but this one was also informed by the stories from a beautiful old English lady, an immigrant to Australia who was, along with her siblings, taken from her mother in the 1930's.
It seems to be a practice that thrived both in the UK and continued on here for many many decades."
