Gudetama "Eggs-hibition"
Say hello to Gudetama!
The lazy little egg came out of his shell to surprise customers in Hong Kong’s busy shopping area Mong Kok. Together with a pop-up store, fans can explore truly ‘egg-cellent’ exhibits, including a kawaii Gudetama themed bakery, a commuter train and Japanese restaurants.
Nothing can stir him up. Gudetama has a reputation for being lazy.
All aboard the Gudetama train. No ticket required.

The combination of extreme weather conditions, Western attempts at colonizing China and growing anti-imperialist sentiment fueled the movement.
The European great powers finally ceased their ambitions of colonizing China and this period marks the ceding of European great power interference in Chinese affairs.

Lazy Egg or Desperate Egg ?
His name is a wordplay on “gude-gude” which means lazy and “tamago” which means egg in Japanese. So Gudetama is an egg who seems to lack the energy to do anything much at all. He’s whiny, always has a face of despair and can usually be found sleeping in his shell, curled up in a bacon blanket or taking a nap on a bed of rice.
The latest character to join the Sanrio family, the Japanese lifestyle brand behind Hello Kitty, isn't a cuddly animal, or even a living creature. It's an egg named Gudetama.

The Origin of Humpty Dumpty
Jim Gordon and Batman recall how the Gotham City villain Humpty Dumpty came to be.
Humpty Dumpty (Humphrey Dumpler), a large, portly, well-mannered man, is obsessed with putting broken things back together again even if he has to take them apart. Thinking that his abusive grandmother is broken, Dumpler dismembers and reassembles her in an attempt to fix her.
