Les secrets de l'œuf

 

Qu’est ce qu’un œuf ? A-t-il toujours existé ? Pourquoi autant de formes et de couleurs ? Que nous racontent-ils de leurs parents à plumes ? Pourquoi sont-ils si présents dans notre quotidien et si inspirants ? Même pour les scientifiques, l’œuf garde bien des mystères et les découvertes sont nombreuses.

À l'occasion de la nouvelle exposition au Muséum départemental du Var, le Département vous propose de découvrir la collection Ferry-Blondel où, plus de 3000 œufs d'oiseaux, de poissons, de reptiles, d'insectes, d'araignées, de scorpions... et même des œufs.

Du 3 octobre 2020 au 7 mars 2021 le Muséum départemental du Var et le Jardin départemental du Las (labellisé Jardin remarquable) offrent leurs espaces à l'exposition ŒUF et invitent le visiteur à partager l'univers des ornithologues Camille Ferry et Jacques Blondel pour un voyage naturaliste, scientifique, artistique vraiment bluffant !

Une exposition présentée dans le strict respect des conditions sanitaires et des gestes barrières en vigueur.

“It’s a question as old as philosophy itself: Which came first, the chicken or the egg? In NoMa (North of Massachusetts Avenue), it turns out, they arrived simultaneously.”

"The Chicken and the Egg" is the first NoMa Gateway art project that was designed by RSM Design for the NoMa neighborhood in Washington DC, at the intersection of N Street and New York Avenue NE.

Waiting for Hatching Jayhawk?

A giant blue egg, surrounded by four smaller red and blue eggs, materialized outside the Kansas Memorial Union on the University of Kansas campus.

The words “Hatching March 7th” are written across the large plastic egg in the newly constructed Ascher Plaza in front of the student union on Jayhawk Boulevard.

But those words are the only clue to the mystery of what’s in the eggs.

David Mucci, director of the KU Memorial Union, wants to keep it a secret. But he did say that the expected hatching date of March 7, 2019, had something to do with a depiction of the Jayhawk in the early 20th century.

Aqua Egg for Aquaculture

The Aqua Egg

Hauge Aqua presents a new robust enclosed technology for industrial fish farming. The aim of the new technology is to enable sustainable growth in the aquaculture industry.

Fish are expected to be placed in a prototype of the Egg by 2019, but that many details remain to be decided.

Les Œufs Noirs d'Owakudani

Owakudani, ou "La grande vallée qui bout", se trouve dans la zone volcanique de Hakone (Japon) avec des sources chaudes.
Une télécabine monte des cartons remplis d’œufs au niveau d’un bac aménagé, où ils sont plongés dans l’eau chaude issue de source naturelle. Au contact du soufre et du fer, leur coquille devient entièrement noire.
Les visiteurs achètent les kuro-tamago par paquet de cinq pour les manger sur place et, selon la croyance, gagner ainsi sept ans de vie supplémentaires pour un œuf  mangé !
En raison de la présence de sulfure d'hydrogène et de dioxyde de soufre dans les airs, les visiteurs ne sont autorisés qu'à regarder brièvement le procédé de cuisson.
