Egg Packaging
Traditional carton egg packaging
The traditional occidental egg carton was invented in 1911 by newspaper editor Joseph Coyle (British Columbia) to solve a dispute between a local farmer and hotel owner over the farmer's eggs often being delivered broken. Before this invention, eggs were carried in egg baskets. The egg carton "box" was further developed by H.G.Bennett (UK) during the 1950s and became the norm for egg transportation.
Here are some new ideas questionning standard egg packaging, only a few ones.

Pocket Egg Breakfast
The ultra-portable Heater Egg Card utilizes a wire-web and thin skin that envelops the egg to reduce heating time. The casing can then be “smooshed” together to make it as thin as a credit card. Small enough to take anywhere in your wallet, purse, or other compact carrier.

BeepEgg
BeepEgg is an electronic plastic egg that you can put in the pot where you boil eggs, along with them.
When the egg is softly boiled, BeepEgg will sing the song “Killing Me Softly”; when the eggs are mild, you will hear the song “I Wish I was a Hen”; if the egg is as boiled as it should be BeepEgg will play ”Carmina Burana”.

More than that, this gadget – egg beeps : once when the water temperature reaches 45 degrees Celsius and the second time when the water begins to boil. The built-in thermometer continuously measures the egg temperature, so it is necessary to put the real eggs right near the BeepEgg.
In order to make it quiet and to stop it from singing, BeepEgg should be put in cold water.
