July 20, 2009, marked the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11’s first lunar landing.
To commemorate, Louis Vuitton has created a “Malle Mars” trunk designed with a trip to Mars in mind. The egg-shaped trunk opens up to space necessities: tool and pharmaceuticals drawers, shelves for dishware, and even a folding chair to take in the views of Earth.
The world famous LV logos are engraved on the surface of the trunck.
The trunk is on display at the Rose Center for Earth and Space at the American Museum of Natural History, NYC.
