How to Have an Egg Race

An egg race is a classic activity for summer camp, field days and children's parties.

Steps:

1. Give each child a tablespoon and a hard-boiled egg.
2. Have the he children form in line.
3. Decide which child is the leader.
4. Have each child holdsthe spoon with the egg in its bowl at arm's length and hop on one foot, following wherever the leader leads them.

Tips:

• The leader may take the children up stairs, over stools, and any place hard to reach on one foot. To drop the egg or rest on both feet prevents one from continuing in the game. She must stay out until the next time round.
