This ornament is made from a real chicken empty egg.
Embellishments were made with Super Sculpey and paper mache.... The whole thing was painted with a special blend of acrylics and metal powders. It hangs from a copper chain.

Une Formidable Aventure !
En Antarctique, une équipe de télévision britannique en tournage pour la BBC a niché une caméra au sein d'un œuf factice. Objectif : en pleine période de naissance, observer les "manchots" le plus près possible.
Un caracara repère l’œuf au milieu de la colonie de "manchots". Mais l'œuf résiste, roule, roule encore avant de s'immobiliser, avant de finir prisonnier de son prédateur et de voler au-dessus de la colonie de "manchots".
" Il s'agit de la première vue aérienne d'une colonie de manchots filmée par un oiseau en vol ", explique l'équipe de production John Downer.

Voir la mer ! Mais pour tout papier, notre homme n'a que la naïveté de son désir, et pour toute richesse, sa bicyclette… A l’approche du but il est arrêté et reconduit sans ménagement ! Un fait divers raconté aux enfants, car il n’y a pas d’âge pour comprendre. Ici, le voyageur est immobile mais l’imagination erre de lieux en rencontres, de pays en cultures, à grands renforts de bidouilles, de rouages, de bouts de bois, de métal et de toile.

A mysterious orange egg has fallen into the woods. "It's a sun egg!" declares the elf who finds it nestled on the forest floor. Soon she and her friends find out what it really is, but not before the little elf goes off on one of the best adventures she has ever had.

Une fée paraît dans un décor rocaille. Elle tend les bras et reçoit d’une main invisible de gros œufs de Pâques qu’elle ouvre un à un sur la table. De ces œufs sortent successivement des danseuses lilliputiennes, hautes comme le doigt et d’une finesse charmante : tour à tour une gommeuse, un polichinelle, deux Espagnoles, deux Japonaises exécutent des pas variés. Sur un geste de la fée, danseurs et danseuses disparaissent, les œufs s’entrouvrent et de jolis marmots, un peu effarouchés sortent de la coque en tendant leurs petits bras.
Et puis les œufs s’envolent, le décor s’efface, tandis que les bébés et la fée disparaissent dans un brouillard.
